Anxiety on X, silence on the ground
Online concern can be loud while local life shows little of it. That gap is itself a problem if the work that matters only happens where people actually live.
A pattern I notice is that a great deal of concern and anxiety lives on X, while on the ground I often do not see matching seriousness. That mismatch is itself concerning. If the people who must act are not as alarmed as the feed, then either the feed is performing worry for engagement, or the ground has normalised problems that should not be normal.
Real solutions require ears on the ground and hands in implementation. Theory that never leaves the platform will always look more coherent than it is. Whoever has ears to the ground should also try implementation on the ground, or we will keep inventing solutions that “work” only in conversation.
