Society looks only to schools for lessons it no longer teaches
Many civilisational lessons are not in school discussion. The open question is how a society relearns what it stopped transmitting.
The question is how we will learn or relearn certain lessons. Society at present looks at schools only for education and lessons, and many of the things that matter for sustained life, work, and character are not part of discussions in schools.
That is a design failure of transmission, not only of curriculum. If family, neighbourhood, and public culture stop carrying those lessons, the school cannot invent them from a textbook alone. Relearning requires places where the lessons are lived again, not only announced.
