Manufacturing requires a hardening process
If multi-generation business families struggle with uncertainty and hustle, newcomers will not find it easy. Exceptions still pass through hardening.
If those with generations of manufacturing and business in the family are not doing it, it is a long shot that someone unaccustomed to the uncertainty and hustle of manufacturing will find it easy. There will be exceptions, but they also have to go through a hardening process.
Romance about “getting into manufacturing” without that process is marketing. The work selects for people who can live with vendor failure, logistics delay, thin margins, and long feedback loops.
