Stop debating hours; mentor people already working hard

Young people already burn long weeks. The scarce resource is guidance, mentoring, exposure, and removal of imaginary barriers.

The debate continues about how many hours per week one should work: thirty, forty, seventy, ninety, a hundred. Meanwhile many young people already work more than seventy hours a week hoping for a better future and a stable career. They often fall short of potential for lack of guidance, mentoring, and sometimes because of artificial, imaginary barriers caused by insufficient exposure.

Instead of expending energy on the hours debate, effort should go toward ensuring that those who are already working hard receive guidance, mentoring, exposure, and resources. Hours without orientation is noise. Orientation multiplies hours.
