The interfaces between reality and data
As moving and manipulating data gets easier, the entry and exit points where reality becomes data and data becomes reality gain value.
The interfaces where reality becomes data, and data becomes reality, will become increasingly important. Moving and manipulating data inside the digital world is getting easier. The scarce, valuable work concentrates at the entry and exit points: sensing the world truthfully, acting back on it reliably, and owning the consequences when either step is wrong.
I care less about pure digital cleverness when it never touches ground, and more about the bridges that keep models and systems honest against physical and human reality.
