Rural life is already digitally continuous with the rest

Rural regions are not disconnected. Same content, changed needs and aspirations. Resets that ignore that fact will fail.

The rural region is not disconnected now in digital terms. People there consume much of the same content as anyone else. Needs and aspirations have changed. In theory many solutions work; the reset is not going to be easy. Smartphones and social media make it harder. In an ideal world many solutions work. We do not live in an ideal world.

Romantic rural policy that pretends the feed never arrived will keep failing people who already live half their attention in the same global stream as cities.
