SaaS outlives VC fashion; founders still face the market

SaaS may become less interesting for VC-style growth while remaining a model for builders not chasing those numbers. Adjustment is real either way.

SaaS is getting less interesting for VCs in some regimes, but it can continue as a model for those not targeting VC-type growth and numbers. The harder curiosity is how companies adjust to a market more demanding and cost-sensitive than the one they were built for. Beyond high CAC, funds also pushed development and deployment costs up when other priorities ruled. In a world of churn and cost efficiency, that transition is interesting to watch.

Does the business remain interesting enough to run once promoters lower expectations from what they initially hoped for? Founders and investors may share early dreams and still diverge in behaviour when the dream reprices.
