Scale is a different problem from the prototype
Anyone can make a prototype. Manufacturing at scale with consistency, vendors, and logistics is another game entirely.
Everything at a scale is a different ball game. Anyone can make a prototype. Manufacturing it at scale with consistency is the hard part. The more components involved, the more complexity. The challenge rises as the number of vendors rises. Logistics and supply-chain efficiency can be the difference between a viable business and an unviable one.
This is why I am cautious when excitement stops at the demo. The demo proves possibility. Scale proves whether coordination, procurement, quality, and distribution can survive contact with volume.
