Time is what lasting things cost
What can last takes time to make. That is not a slogan for patience as decoration; it is a practical warning against work designed only for speed and visibility.
I once put it in a few Hindi lines, roughly: time is what it takes; what can stick, takes time to make; time is what it takes. The English is thinner than the original, but the claim is the same.
We live in a culture that rewards the appearance of momentum. Building something that can still stand after fashion moves on is slower, less photogenic, and full of the challenges I assume will arrive in large number. That is not an argument against urgency. It is an argument against confusing urgency with haste. If the thing must last, the schedule has to include the years in which nothing looks finished.
