Implement, and balance the economics

For everyone who believes they have a solution, it is a great service to start implementing it, preferably at a meaningful scale. Setting an example others can learn from matters more than another polished argument.

They also need to remember that motivations differ, and for anything to scale they have to balance the economics of it. Not everyone will do this for charity, or have that many funds. Implementation is where challenges concentrate. Humans are rational in a narrow sense: they decide based on what they observe.

If the observable path is media, metrics, and talk, that is what will be copied. If the observable path is a working unit that pays its way, more people can follow without waiting for a grant.

Doing anything significant has always been hard. Creating the appearance of progress is now cheaper. Humans will usually choose the lesser pain. That is why missions die in execution while calendars of announcements stay full.
