Hard work needs mentoring and time

Right guidance, mentoring, and time is all it takes for anyone who is ready to work hard. Effort without orientation still stalls. Orientation without time still fails.

The debate continues about how many hours per week one should work. Meanwhile many young people already work long weeks hoping for a better future. They often fall short of potential for lack of guidance, mentoring, and sometimes because of artificial barriers caused by insufficient exposure.

Instead of expending energy on the hours debate, effort should go toward ensuring that those who are already working hard receive guidance, mentoring, exposure, and resources. Hours without orientation is noise. Orientation multiplies hours.

Reading is not an optional hobby in that formation. Reading builds imagination and compounds. Without a nudge, people drift to video. That is a capability choice, not a neutral preference.
